Sparkle Breath

with Stella the Starfish

About Sparkle Breath

Sparkle Breath is the Green Zone signature technique. It uses a 4-2-5 pattern to help students stay calmly focused and joyfully engaged—shining like Stella the Starfish without getting overstimulated.

How to Practice Sparkle Breath

  1. Find your position: Sit or stand tall, with feet grounded and spine long.
  2. Inhale and open: Breathe in through your nose for 4 counts while spreading your arms out wide like a starfish.
  3. Hold the sparkle: Gently pause for 2 counts at the top, feeling your body bright and steady.
  4. Exhale with sparkles: Breathe out through your mouth for 5 counts while wiggling your "sparkle fingers."
  5. Repeat: Practice 3–4 times, noticing how calm, bright, and ready to learn you feel.

Pattern: 4-2-5 (Inhale 4 – Hold 2 – Exhale 5), the shared signature pattern used for all four characters.
