How to use:
Pick the domain → pick the student level (Emerging / Developing / Mastery) → copy/paste → customize the brackets.
These templates are designed to support IEP teams and must be individualized for each student.

Progress Monitoring:

Mastery Criteria: 80% accuracy for 4 consecutive weeks

Goal 2C: Independent Regulation (Mastery)

Goal Statement: "When experiencing emotional dysregulation, [Student] will independently identify their zone, select and implement an appropriate regulation strategy (breathing technique, sensory tool, or Calm Corner use), and evaluate its effectiveness with 85% success rate across 4 out of 5 opportunities as measured by self-monitoring forms, teacher observation, and behavior incident data."

Baseline Data Needed:

Progress Monitoring:

Mastery Criteria: 85% success rate for 4 consecutive weeks with reduction in behavior incidents

Domain 3: Calm Corner Protocol

Goal 3A: Calm Corner Request (Emerging)

Progress Monitoring:

Mastery Criteria: 3 out of 5 opportunities for 3 consecutive weeks

Goal 3B: Calm Corner Protocol (Developing)

Goal Statement: "[Student] will follow the Ask-Go-Calm-Return protocol when using the Calm Corner (request access, use regulation tools for 5-10 minutes, return when calm) with 80% accuracy across 4 out of 5 uses as measured by Calm Corner protocol checklist and teacher observation."

Mastery Criteria: 80% protocol adherence for 4 consecutive weeks

Goal 3C: Independent Calm Corner Use (Mastery)

Goal Statement: "[Student] will independently recognize when they need regulation support, request and use the Calm Corner following the complete protocol, select appropriate tools, and return to learning activities within 10 minutes with 90% success rate across 5 out of 5 opportunities as measured by self-monitoring forms, Calm Corner logs, and teacher observation."

Mastery Criteria: 90% success rate for 4 consecutive weeks

Domain 4: Social-Emotional Vocabulary

Goal 4A: Emotion Labeling (Emerging)

Goal Statement: "[Student] will identify basic emotions (tired/Blue, calm/Green, excited/Yellow, angry/Red) by pointing to or selecting the correct Ocean Zones character when presented with visual scenarios with 75% accuracy across 4 out of 5 opportunities as measured by teacher observation and data collection."

Mastery Criteria: 75% accuracy for 3 consecutive weeks

Goal 4B: Emotion Expression (Developing)
